Your Role in Our Mission
As a Specialist - Finance & Accounts at NEXT Ventures in Malaysia, you will strengthen the financial backbone of our operations. You will manage end-to-end accounting, reporting, tax compliance, and payroll activities, while also supporting the setup and smooth running of our new Malaysia office. By combining accuracy with adaptability, you will ensure that our financial systems, compliance requirements, and operational workflows run seamlessly—empowering the business to scale with confidence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Maintain full sets of accounts including GL, AR/AP, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and expense forecasts to ensure financial stability.
Tax & Compliance
• Handle local tax compliance including SST and corporate tax filings.
• Liaise with external tax consultants and ensure alignment with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Support statutory audits and ensure timely, accurate disclosures.
• Prepare and submit financial reports required by regulators (SC, BNM, Bursa Malaysia).
Payroll & Office Support
• Manage payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor and tax regulations.
• Maintain employee payroll records and support finance-related employee queries.
• Assist with financial aspects of Malaysia office setup, including vendor payments, recurring expense tracking, and coordination with FNRL.
Budgeting & Analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to support budget planning and cost control.
• Prepare variance reports and provide insights on performance against budgets.
• Recommend improvements in financial workflows and support reporting automation.
